Luckily, I have now came up with a new super tasty combo that covers the spirulina taste completely and makes a perfect year-around blue breakfast bowl with all the spirulina benefits: banana, apple and kiwifruit with spirulina and yogurt.
Crispy blue brekky bowl (Banana-Apple-Kiwi-Spirulina)
What you will need:
1 big banana
1dl frozen apple chunks (around half of a medium sweet/tart apple)
1 frozen kiwi
1,5dl natural (organic) yogurt (or unflavoured dairy free yogurt)
1tsp spirulina powder
How to do it?
- The night before (or earlier), chop your apple and kiwi and freeze them overnight. You don’t need to peel them but remove the hard parts.
- In the morning, simply process all your ingredients in your smoothie machine or with a stick blender until smooth. You can leave some banana for toppings/decoration.
- Top with more berries, muesli, seeds or whatever you like and enjoy!
